G Scale Lionel Model Trains
Lionel Model Trains or simply Lionel was founded in 1900 by Joshua Lionel Cowen. He was an imaginative inventor wherein because of his natural skill in invention and innovation has led to the creation of one of the country's first electric powered model trains. With intricate details that match the best in the industry during that time, the fame of Lionel Model Trains spread like wildfire.
Unfortunately after decades of hard work, Lionel filed bankruptcy during the late 60s and was forced to stop production. It was only in the 80s that the original company restarted its production and in May 2008, Lionel was finally out of bankruptcy.
The Lionel G Scale Model Trains are one of the modern trains that were developed by Lionel. The introduction of the G Scale type of trains was already during the 90s and the company adapted to the changes and made their own train sets. The Lionel G Scale Model Train is usually released as a commemorative set or a tribute to well known movies that in one way or the other, feature trains. Keeping with the tradition, These G Scale sets are electronically powered, while some of them are now sporting modern designs of remote control.
